The Art of Vogue with Kuresha Versace In-Person
Kick off the summer and celebrate Pride with the Newark Public Library LGBTQ+ Resource Center. Whether you want to try voguing for the very first time or want to perfect your existing skills, we hope that you'll join us for The Art of Vogue, a summer masterclass series with NJ Mother, Kuresha Versace.
Donte Woolridge (they/them/theirs) rules in the Ballroom Community as "Kuresha Versace." They have been in Ballroom since 2020. Before their stellar debut in the community, they were a trained dancer, specializing in hip-hop and contemporary, with training from Newark Collegiate Academy. But much of the fire, focus and finesse that Kuresha embodies is self-taught and a part of their audacity style and poise!
The 12-week workshop series will be hosted weekly on Saturdays, time may vary, beginning June 15th, and is suitable for dancers and enthusiasts of all ages and experience levels. Although not required, knee pads are recommended.
