The Shape of My Food: A Creative Arts Class for Seniors In-Person
"The Shape of My Food" is an 8-week series of 3D art workshops for seniors reflecting on identity, culture, and unity. Participants are asked to use air-dry clay and acrylics to sculpt and paint their favorite food out of their imagination or from images/samples provided. The finished pieces will be displayed on a table setting. The workshop then becomes like a dinner party, where people get to know each other, share stories about their traditions and what they enjoy eating, or talk about their heritage. It is a spontaneous, harmonious, and nutritive learning experience that uplifts everyone's spirits.
One of the keys to healthy aging is learning new things and being creative. Another key is spending time with other people. Join acclaimed artist and instructor Nancy Saleme for this 8-week course to unlock your creativity in community with other seniors!
These hands-on classes are designed especially for seniors and offer a joyful exploration of different artistic media.
All materials provided. Spots are limited—reserve your spot now!
